The Meghan MacDonald State Farm Agency is looking for a highly motivated Insurance Sales Representative who thrives on generating new business, building relationships, and closing deals. This is not a passive customer service role — we are seeking someone with a true hunter mentality who enjoys outbound activity, creating opportunities, and driving results.

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

As an Insurance Sales Representative for the Meghan MacDonald State Farm Agency, you will play a key role in driving agency growth through proactive sales efforts, relationship-building, and needs-based conversations. You will work with prospective and existing customers to uncover opportunities, recommend coverage solutions, and help protect what matters most while growing the agency’s book of business.

This role is heavily sales-focused and ideal for someone who is competitive, self-motivated, and eager to maximize their earning potential.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •  Generate new business through outbound calls, lead follow-up, referrals, networking, and proactive prospecting 
  •  Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate insurance products and coverage solutions 
  •  Quote and close auto, home, renters, life, and other insurance products 
  •  Cross-sell and maximize opportunities within existing customer relationships 
  •  Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospects and follow-up activity 
  •  Maintain accurate documentation of sales conversations and activity 
  •  Collaborate with team members to achieve individual and office production goals 
  •  Participate in marketing and community outreach efforts to drive agency visibility and lead generation 
QUALIFICATIONS:

  •  Strong sales mentality with a competitive, goal-oriented mindset 
  •  Hunter personality — self-starter who is comfortable creating opportunities and asking for the sale 
  •  Excellent communication and relationship-building skills 
  •  Organized, disciplined, and consistent with follow-up 
  •  Comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment 
  •  Prior sales experience preferred; insurance experience is a plus 
  •  Property & Casualty and Life & Health licensing preferred or willingness to obtain (support provided)
